Singles Federation Friday

Since 1978 Italian Café has been dedicating to presenting one of the most innovative and interesting Italian menus in Northern Virginia.

Drinks at 6:30 and will be seated for dinner at 7 PM. The Singles Federation is an ad hoc group of contacts for local singles organizations who in turn inform their members of the events.

Driving Directions:

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 50B, Arlington Blvd., towards Arlington but follow exit ramp signs for Fairview Park N. Take Fairview Park Drive about 1 mile to Lee Highway (US-29). Turn right at Lee Highway and drive 2 miles.

When to Arrive for Filene Center Performances
The park is open for picnicking during daylight hours. The Filene Center gates and lawn open 90 minutes prior to each performance In-house seating area opens 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Directions:

From the Capital Beltway (495) Take exit 45 to Route 267 West (Dulles Toll Road), follow signs to local exits, pay a 75-cent toll, and exit at the Wolf Trap ramp. The Filene Center will be on the right.

From Interstate 66 Westbound Take exit 67 to Route 267 (Dulles Toll Road), follow signs for local exits, pay a 75-cent toll, and exit at the Wolf Trap ramp. The Filene Center will be on the right.

From Route 7 Westbound Turn left on Towlston Road, drive 1 mile, and the Filene Center will be on the left.

From Route 267 Eastbound Take exit 16 onto Route 7 West. Proceed 1 1/2 miles and turn left on Towlston Road. Drive 1 mile and the Filene Center will be on the left.

Fourteen major galleries blend five centuries of news history — including the people, places and times — with up-to-the-second technology. The galleries include the Berlin Wall, 9/11, the Unabombers cabin, Pulitzer prize photographs, and many others.

In addition to the galleries, there are fifteen theaters, including a 4-D immersive experience, feature films that highlight the worlds greatest stories and monuments. Special exhibits include the Sports Illustrated photographs of Walter Looss, Presidential pets in the White House and the museum’s newest exhibit, “Elvis! His Groundbreaking, Hip Shaking, Newsmaking Story.
