Join Mike for a golf game on the lovely East Potomac Golf Course. The first to RSVP gets to chose between a par 3 nine hole, regular 9 hole, or a 18 hole game.

White Course: Golf in the shadow of the Washington Monument

The White Course is a nine hole, par 34, executive course. An open layout and short par 4's make this course perfect for intermediate golfers who are not quite ready for the Blue Course. Experienced players can work on their iron play while taking in views of the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial.

Red Course: It's time to work on your short game! East Potomac's Red Course is nine holes of par three practice. Holes range from 100-200 yards each and provide golfers of any skill level with a good challenge.

The Red Course is also a favorite for group and corporate outings with golfers of varying skill levels.

Blue Course: East Potomac's Blue Course not only provides golfers with a challenging but fair golf course, but also provides some of Washington's greatest landmarks in the background. Most noticeable is the Washington Monument, visible from any location on the course. Other landmarks include Ronald Reagan National Airport, Fort McNair, the Naval War College, and the Jefferson Memorial.

The course is a Walter Travis design from the early 1900's. Often described as a Links style course, your most difficult round at East Potomac will come when the wind coming off the Potomac River is at its strongest.

From the East:
Follow Signs to Route 50 West. Take Route 50 to Rosslyn/Key Bridge exit. At the top of ramp, turn right onto North Lynn Street. At the 5th light, turn left onto Lee Highway. The hotel is located on the right.
From the West:
Take I-66 Eastbound toward DC, Exit 73, Rosslyn/Key Bridge. Turn left at first light, Nash Street. 

From the Beltway: Take the George Washington Parkway South (Exit 43). Follow approximately 8 miles and take the exit that reads 66 East/ Route 50 Washington/Rosslyn. Off the exit, stay right onto North Lynn Street and follow down to the 5th traffic light and turn left onto Lee Highway. Hotel is visible on right. Rosslyn Metro Stop is a short walk away!

For those of you who have been around a while, “Tommy the Matchmaker” is doing a Yacht Night at the Bethesda Doubletree Hotel (the old Yacht Club site). TCGWDC has had a long relationship with Tommy, so come on out! www.yachtclubofbethesda.com

The dance will be held in the grand ballroom, starting at 9 PM and ending around 1:30 AM.

How to get there:

Bethesda Metro on the Red Line has a Ride-On bus #92 that will bring you to the club in 5 minutes. Also free parking in the garage across the street. You can check out the Yacht Club at www.yachtclubofbethesda.com.

Directions from DC (12 minutes from Georgetown) Take Wisconsin Avenue North past Cheesecake Factory on your right. Cross District line and continue up Wisconsin past Bethesda Metro on the left (Hyatt Hotel). Continue 4 blocks towards MD and see Holiday Inn Select on left. Go around the block to the back entrance of the hotel and see the Yacht Club awning.

Directions from VA and points West (10 mins from Tysons Corner) Take 495 towards MD. Exit 34/Wisconsin Avenue-Bethesda South towards Washington. After 3-4 minutes you enter Bethesda and see Four Points Sheraton on the right and then Holiday Inn Select just past it on the same side of the street. Proceed around the corner to the back entrance of the hotel and see Yacht Club awning.

Directions from MD and points North (10 mins from Doubletree Hotel Rockville Pike) Take 355(Rockville Pike) approximately 5 minutes. Rockville Pike becomes Wisconsin Ave. Enter Bethesda and see Four Points Sheraton on the right and then Holiday Inn Select just past it on the same side of the street. Go around the corner to the back entrance of the hotel and see the Yacht Club awning.
