Skeet is a recreational and competitive activity where participants attempt to break clay disks flung into the air at high speed from a variety of angles (we’ll be using a skeet gun). Skeet is also an Olympic sport. Our host is Mike, who will show you how to do it. We will be shooting low powered shot gun shells, and there isn’t much “kick.” If you don’t have a shotgun, it can be rented at the center and the total cost is about $40. Directions: Located in Glenn Dale, adjacent to Goddard Space Flight Center and the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 22A to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Go 400 yards and take Greenbelt Rd. exit (Rte 193) east.
