Join prospective member Brandi for an evening of dancing at Glen Echo. There will be a beginner swing lesson with Tom and Debra from 8 to 9 PM and the dance runs from 9 to midnight. The legendary Pinetop Perkins with Daryl Davis, Mitch Woods and the Nighthawks. Pinetop Perkins is one of the last great Mississippi bluesmen still performing. He began playing blues around 1927 and is widely regarded as one of the best blues pianists around, having created a style of playing that has influenced three generations of piano players. Pinetop is possibly best known for holding down the piano chair in the great Muddy Waters Band for twelve years. Replacing the late, great Otis Spann, Pinetopp helped shape the Waters sound and anchored Muddy's memorable combo with his brilliant piano solos. Backed up by the legendary Nighthawks, Pinetop will be joined onstage by two other great boogie Woogie piano men: Daryl Davis and Mitch Woods! Eat your Wheaties, because you're going to boogie all night long! No need to RSVP, but Brandi suggest getting there before 8 PM, she's planning on being there around 7:45 PM |

This event entails following beagle-hounds (dogs are male only) in this rough terrain together with the huntsman, master of the hounds and the staff(whipper ins- folks who keep the hounds from running astray after deer etc). You will get some fun in seeing how they work together, a chase (usually the rabbit wins),and some good fresh country air. After approx. 2 hours the pack is collected and we all head back to the hostess for a 'high' tea. In this case the refreshments will consist of a small meal of sorts w/tea etc. RSVP Linda at no later than Tuesday, March 11.
