The National Marfan Foundation and the Canadian Marfan Association inform us there are two additional Marfan-related websites:

  1. The Coalition for Heritable Disorders of Connective Tissue (CHDCT) has launched its web site -- www.chdct.org -- in order to serve people with these complex disorders around the world. The Heritable Disorders of Connective Tissue are potentially life-threatening disorders that affect several millions of people regardless of sex, race and ethnicity.
  2. The International Federation of Marfan Syndrome Organizations (IFMSO) has launched its web site -- www.marfanworld.org -- in order to serve people with the Marfan syndrome around the world. The Marfan syndrome is a potentially life-threatening disorder of connective tissue that affects many body systems. Approximately 1 in 5,000 people are affected worldwide regardless of sex, race and ethnicity.
The Tall Clubs International Foundation, Inc. is an IRS 501(C)3 status organization created to benefit the interest of tall people by initially providing scholarships for graduating high school seniors meeting the height requirements of 6'2" for men and 5'10" for women.

As the Foundation grows and its resources increase, additional projects that meet the needs of tall people will be funded.

The Foundation was formed in 1990 as a separate entity from Tall Clubs International, Inc. TCI has been giving scholarships to students since 1985.

The purpose of the TCI Foundation is to fund scholarship grants that are provided yearly to deserving tall teens around America. The Foundation was set up with the goal of raising enough money to eventually create a self-funding program, yielding enough interest yearly that the ongoing expense of the annual scholarship awards may be paid from the interest accrued, never touching the principal. It is an ongoing effort to attain our goals; growing the principal and funding the program.
