Chez Andrée

10 East Glebe Rd

Alexandria, VA    703.836.1414

Hosted by Rhonda

If you are interested in this event, please email Kathleen at katmck@aol.com.

How about a little culture on a Monday?? Since 1964, Chez Andrée has been known for country French Cuisine. Stanley and Andrée Lecureux opened the restaurant in what was originally a “railroad bar” that serviced the nearby Potomac Yards. Today son Steve Lecureux and his sister Laurence Matrat are in charge, now that their parents have retired. And the restaurant has grown much larger and fancier, including the bar area with a large classic wood bar facing a spectacular mural that looks like a scene from Moulin Rouge. Tuesday’s have a special, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $29.95!

RSVP to Rhonda  by Sunday, November 11, 2007.

Directions:

From I-495: Take I-395 N (towards Washington), follow for 6 miles to VA-120 S/S Glebe Rd (exit 7A). Follow for approximately 1.2 miles.

From the George-Washington Pkwy (S): From the G-W Parkway, take the exit toward I-395/VA-27/Pentagon, merge onto Washington Blvd/Va-27 S towards I-395 S/Pentagon. Take the ramp towards Pentagon Mall and river entrance. Then merge onto Jefferson Davis Hwy and follow for approx. 3 miles, turn right onto E. Glebe Road. Restaurant is at the corner of E. Glebe Road and Commonwealth Avenue.

Spare the Wishbone

Post Turkey-Day Potluck Party

President Bear's Lair

Fairfax, VA

If you find that your turkey giblets made a run for it, President Bear is offering us a tasty alternative for this American traditional pilgrimage, where friends come together to give thanks for the opportunity to rid ourselves of endless feastings on turkey salads, turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, Turkey Fricassee, yam-a-loaf, candied yams intertwined with the gooiness of melted marshmallows, hardened-around-the edge jellied cranberry slices, stuffing casseroles that can rise and actually walk for themselves, macaroni with enough dried cheese to bring the Tidal Basin to a flowing halt...need I go on? So, let us give thanks that we live in a society where Turkey Day leftovers can be released and allowed to roam free, to enter the bellies of our unbiased friends!!

RSVP to Bear by Wednesday, Nov 21 and let President Bear know what you are ridding ...I mean, what you are contributing to the feast.

For those who managed to spare their wishbones, bring them to the Lair.
